In a word: “Yes.” We genuinely welcome all to come as you are and join us on your life journey. We take that invitation very seriously.

If you have had a relationship with Jesus your whole life, we welcome you to unite with us, and we will join you on your walk of faith as we grow together.

If you haven’t confessed faith in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and just want to find out more about giving your life over to Him, we will help you begin that journey. Each Sunday, we will allow you to accept Christ as your Lord and Savior.

Our worship service is fairly traditional, but also casual. We begin our worship together on Sunday mornings at 10:45 AM with a hymn and some praise music.

The service is a mix of singing, prayer, special music, collection of offering, and each Sunday we share in communion to which all who confess faith in Jesus Christ are welcome to partake. Communion is our way of reenacting and remembering Jesus’ practice of welcoming all people to God’s table.

In addition, our pastor offers a message each week in a style that is informal, conversational, and thought-provoking. The service usually ends by noon.

We believe that God is more interested in the focus of our hearts more than in how we look when we come to worship, so there’s no particular dress code at FCC. On Sunday mornings, our friends and members are welcome to dress casual. Be comfortable. Come as you are.

No. Each Sunday, we invite those present to contribute to an offering that helps to support the church’s ministries, but this is a responsibility of our membership; please don’t feel obligated to contribute.

No. While we will be thrilled to have you join us, and some members of our congregation will greet you, we will not single you out or ask you to stand or say anything. We want you to be comfortable so that you can have a meaningful spiritual experience while worshiping with us.

We are a mainline Protestant denomination much like Presbyterians or Methodists with our origins going back to the American frontier.  Throughout our history, we have valued the autonomy of the local church (congregations choose their own pastors and make their own decisions.)

Historically, Disciples are known as the people of the Book. We deeply value the truth of Scripture. We believe that where the Bible speaks, we speak. Where the Bible is silent, we too ought to be silent. We recognize that faithful Christians can interpret some passages differently. We come to our understanding of scripture by studying, questioning, and exploring the text together. We seek to challenge one another to a more faithful application of scripture in our daily lives.

We value the centrality of communion and welcome all Christians to the table. We recognize and honor baptisms from other Christian traditions.

We love having children as part of our church community. Your child is welcome to stay with you in worship. We love having children in our sanctuary.

Children ages 3 through 4th grade are invited to attend Children’s Church during the sermon for an age-appropriate lesson that corresponds with the sermon scripture. This breakout session is held in our children’s church room, which is located upstairs.

There will be an announcement after praise music that will dismiss children ages 3 through 4th grade to meet our youth pastor and adult leader meet in back of sanctuary to go upstairs.

We do offer a beautiful nursery staffed to allow you to trust that your baby or toddler will be cherished and cared for safely.

Yes. Our building is completely handicapped accessible.  You will find Deacons (members of our church with name tags) willing and ready to help you at our entrances that can help get you to the right place.

We have plenty of parking and if you are a visitor we encourage you to park in our special visitor parking spaces to the right of our front entrance.
